Yasmin Rowe is a renowned international concert pianist; she performs as solo recitalist, chamber musician and concerto soloist in many countries and is highly sought after for her chamber music skills. A multiple competition winner – both national and international as well as a critically acclaimed recording artist, Yasmin is active on the international concert stage, well loved by audiences in Europe, Asia, Americas, and Australia for her musical elegance and interpretation.

Her first commercial CD was released in 2016 and was quickly picked up by British Airways for their on board entertainment system. The CD received high praises by several world-renowned pianists:
“After listening to this CD of Yasmin Rowe, it is refreshing to hear music played with conviction, love and authenticity. We can therefore enjoy the pure beauty of these masterpieces under her inspired fingers. Her playing calls for respect.” – Jean Efflam Bavouzet

The CD was also BBC Music Magazine Editor Oliver Condy's favourite in the September 2016 edition.

Yasmin was exposed to music by her mum at a very early age. Even at the age of 4, where she performed her first work in public, Yasmin discovered her love of performing. Luckily, her parents were both nurturing in her passion for the arts, and worked hard to send her to prestigious schools such as Chethams school of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Yasmin graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, UK with an M.Mus (Dist) in 2013. She qualified to undertake the prestigious International Artist Diploma in 2014, where she enjoyed her piano studies with Stephen Savage and was delighted to take part in masterclasses with Andrei Gavrilov, Noriko Ogawa and Artur Pizarro. After leaving the RNCM, Yasmin continued her studies with the inspirational Alicja Fiderkiewicz.

Upon her graduation from the RNCM, Yasmin performed Mozart’s Piano Concerto K271 with the Manchester Camerata Orchestra at Chester Cathedral.

She is the first prize winner of the EPTA UK Piano competition, the Moray International Piano Competition and most recently, the Antena 2 competition in Portugal. Antena 2 is one of the three national radio channels produced by Rádio e Televisão de Portugal and Yasmin performed for the station in July 2016.

She frequently performs with her cellist Yelian He; they formed the successful piano/cello duo “Y-Squared” after meeting at a masterclass in 2008. Together they’ve won competitions such as the Royal Over-Seas League String Competition and the Australian Cello Awards (now amalgamated with the Young Performer’s Awards).

In November 2017, Yelian and Yasmin released their debut CD “Y2” – which has also been picked up by British Airways and comprising of an eclectic selection of composers such as Mendelssohn, Kapustin, Schumann-Liszt, Henryson and Piazzolla. They have also released their first and second music videos of Chopin’s Cello Sonata 3rd movement and Nikolai Kapustin’s Burlesque for piano and cello. Yasmin toured China in 2017, performing at the Shanghai Concert Hall and the Wuxi Grand Theatre. She also gave a masterclass at the Shanghai University Music Conservatory. Y-Squared returned to China to perform in January and February of 2018.
