Our 2022 series of concerts

Our 2021 concert series has now ended. Thank you to all of our wonderful performers and to everyone who attended the concerts. Most concerts were sold out and we really appreciate your support, especially during such a difficult year. If you missed any of the concerts there are a selection of performances from the series on YouTube (and more are being added). You can check them out here on YouTube or play them using the video below (performances can be selected via the dropdown button at the top right corner of the video):

Our 2022 season planning is well under way ... dates and artists are booked, though some programmes are not yet finalised. Further information will be added to the website soon.

Can you help us?

We really need practical help putting up posters and leaflets on village notice boards, in local shops etc. and generally spreading the word about the concerts. If lots of people help it spreads the load and only takes a few minutes - currently only a few people help with publicity which means we spend lots of time and energy driving around the Dales to publicise the concerts. If you can help please contact us via the contact page with your postal address and let us know how many leaflets you can use.

As a registered charity we are very aware that ticket sales rarely cover the cost of artist fees, their travelling expenses, venue hire, piano tuning and printed materials. We have been relying on generous donations from a small number of individuals and smaller donations from some of our regulars to make ends meet. If you would like to help, either by making a donation (any donation, however small or large, is welcome) or in other ways please see our "Donate" page.

Further Information

Covid guidance We want people to feel and be safe. Despite the government's relaxation of rules during 2021 we continued to follow Covid sensible precautions. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and are likely to continue with this policy in 2022 unless infection rates improve considerably.

  1. Doors open at 7pm
  2. Please wear a mask to enter and if you walk around the church. It is your choice to continue to wear or remove your mask while seated.
  3. Tickets are not on sale at the door - please book in advance
  4. We will be spreading out the audience by using alternate pews and marking some pews not in use.
  5. Concerts are normal length. There will be a short comfort interval but no refreshments served - please stay in your seat unless you need to use the toilets.

Venue: All of our concerts are at St. Andrew's Church, Aysgarth at 7.30pm.

Parking: There is very limited parking at the church for people with mobility issues - please let us know if you need to use this. Everyone else should park at the adjacent pay and display car park - the evening rate is £1.50 - please bring the correct change.

Help to access concerts/help with transport:

Would you love to come to concerts but need help with transport or mobility issues?

One of the projects we had planned with funding from the Coop Community Fund was to provide transport from different parts of Wensleydale using minibuses. Because of Covid, this has not been possible and we have been forced to limit our plans in 2021 but hope to expand support in 2022. If you need help please contact us and we will see what we can do to help. To discuss particular needs call Carol or Liz on 01969 663026.
